The Advanced Practice Provider is a Nurse Practitioner (NP) that works in a collaborative relationship with a physician provider to oversee the care delivered to a patient population, and meet Hospital goals for safety and quality. The NP is responsible for direct patient care, documentation of care delivered, adherence to hospital and nursing policies, procedures and practice standards, education of patients and staff, assurance of service excellence, completion of state and hospital-required reviews of practice, and participation in performance improvement and other activities as required.
This position will work in Express Care (Walk-In Clinic) which operates from 10 am – 8 pm. The NP will provide care for patients in an express care level (Walk in Clinic). Work collaboratively with Emergency Physician and nursing staff. Patients require evaluation, intervention, and disposition. Excellent communication skills and teamwork required. Must be able to function as a solo provider.

Physical Demands: Ability to move or transfer patients with an individual effort equal to 50 lbs. Nurses should have a full range of body motion to successfully perform all essential functions of the job, meaning you’ll have to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch and reach frequently during shift.
Mental Demands: Ability to function during stressful medical emergencies calmly and efficiently. Ability to plan and revise care of patients according to their needs.

Working Conditions: Potential for exposure to infectious pathogens, physical hazards, cold or heated conditions. Personal protective equipment is available to all team members. Hours of work may vary, on call is required. Works in normal patient care environment where there is minimal physical discomfort due to temperature, noise or dust. May encounter exposure to chemical toxins, human blood and tissue, crowed work areas, electrical equipment, communicable diseases and related medical waste.
