Location: ACCESS Family Care, Joplin MO
Employment Type: Full-Time
Responsible for providing professional family practice dentistry services with Ozark Tri-County
Health Consortium, dba ACCESS Family Care.
Key Responsibilities
• Examine, diagnose, and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth and gums using
dental instruments, x-rays, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Administer anesthetics to patients during procedures as necessary.
• Develop treatment plans for patient teeth and mouth issues; advise on preventative dental care.
• Write prescriptions for antibiotics or other medications.
• Work cooperatively with ACCESS Family Care practitioners and support personnel to carry out
the goals and objectives of ACCESS Family Care according to established policies and procedures.
• Assist in departmental activities that implement the organization’s policies.
• Participate in ongoing compliance monitoring activities, including review of patient charts,
review of customer satisfaction surveys, in coordination with the other compliance and
operational assessment functions.
• Ensure that the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct subordinates are
defined and understood.
• Oversee office activities and dental team, including dental hygienists and dental assistants, to
ensure work is done efficiently and effectively.
• Collaborate with other departments to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels
for investigations and resolution.
• Participate and respond to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and
Standards of Conduct by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures.
Qualifications
• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD), or related degree.
Foreign degrees are acceptable.
• 1 year experience treating dental patients of all ages and performing dental procedures.
• Licensed to practice Dentistry in the State of Missouri.
• Demonstrated understanding and knowledge in all aspects of currently recognized dental care
protocols and best practices.
