SUPPORTIVE HOUSING SPECIALIST

A Day in the Life
You will assist eligible clients with obtaining and maintaining adequate housing by providing supportive services.
You will identify client needs and services to meet those needs.
You will:
Manage services related to accessing and obtaining housing.
Orient clients to housing programs and referral options, support services, and housing options.
Serve as a liaison between landlord, tenant, service providers and the community related to housing needs.
Complete and submit required reports.
Assist with grant writing and grant proposal submission.
Provide individualized supportive housing services for clients.
Communicate courteously and professionally and maintain working relationships with others in carrying out job functions.
Attend and represent the program and agency in a responsible, professional manner at all meetings.
Qualifications
You’ll need an Associate’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or closely related Human Service field.
A Bachelor’s degree and prior experience in a human service organization is preferred.
A valid driver’s license or other evidence of mobility is required.
You must have a strong commitment to BI-CAP’s values of collaboration, innovation and compassion for those we serve.
Applicants must pass a Background Study.
Familiarity with impoverished and/or unhoused populations, computer knowledge, record keeping and/or client intake is preferred.
Wages
You’ll be eligible for a competitive benefits package and the opportunity to make a difference in the community.
Full-time, 30-40 hours/week, $19.27 - $26.98/hr. Benefit eligible: medical, dental, vision, life/add/std, retirement plan, holiday pay and paid-time off.
Potential Schedule: Weekdays between 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. dictated by program needs.
