Who You Are
You have great communication skills. You are able to develop relationships with teachers, students and parents.
You’re patient and are able to work with children of different abilities and backgrounds.
You are resourceful and are able to assist those with different learning styles.
A Day in the Life
You will help teach preschoolers or toddlers in a classroom setting and building positive relationships with children and families.
You’ll have input in developing the learning environment and assisting in the classroom with activities.
You will work collaboratively with other classroom staff.
Qualifications
If you have a high school diploma or GED, you’ll need to earn your CDA credential or state-awarded certificate during your first two years with us. We’ll pay for it and help you do it.
If you have one of these certifications, an Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, you’re already qualified.
You must have a strong commitment to BI-CAP’s values of collaboration, innovation and compassion for those we serve.
Preferred experience working with children birth to age 5.
Applicants must pass a DHS Background Study and meet DHS & MN Rule 3 licensing requirements.

Position involves floating between classrooms as needed. Classrooms could include all BI-CAP Early Head Start and Head Start classrooms and sites.
Full time, 32 hours/week, year round. No CDA: $17.12 - $23.96/hr; With CDA: $18.30 - $25.63/hr. depending on qualifications, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, retirement plan, holiday pay and paid time off.
Schedule: M-Th, 8 hours per day; or M-Th, 7.5 hrs/day with 2 hrs on Friday. Schedules approved by management based on program need.
