Job Description/Essential Functions:
District 19 Community Services Board, located in Petersburg, VA is seeking a full time licensed or licensed eligible therapist to provide outpatient mental health and substance use therapy to children and adolescents referred to D19 CSB.  Services will be provided to children & adolescents residing in the District 19 CSB catchment area and to adolescents referred by the 12th District Court Service Unit.  Services to be provided include assessment, treatment planning, individual, group and family counseling, case coordination, case management, referrals, crisis intervention coordination, discharge planning and associated record keeping.  The incumbent will work cooperatively with 12th District Court Service Unit personnel to secure the most appropriate, least restrictive services for consumers.  

Requirements: (Experience, Essential Education, and Skills Needed):
Successful applicant must have a Master's degree in human services or related field, a minimum of one year of clinical experience with children and adolescents; at least one year providing substance use treatment, and currently be licensed as a Licensed MH Professional (LMHP) or be Board registered in the state of Virginia with License Eligible status (i.e. LPC Resident, Supervisee in Social Work, LMFT Resident, etc) required.

Preferred Qualifications / Other Relevant Job Information:

Preferred qualifications include extensive experience working with seriously emotionally disturbed children and adolescents, experience providing individual and group therapy, strong knowledge of child mental health diagnosis/substance use disorders, crisis intervention experience and clinical record documentation skills.  

Bilingual (Spanish) candidate preferred.

This is a Grade 210, salaried position.  The starting salary is $50,304.00.  Salary is negotiable.
