Job Description/Essential Functions:

District 19 Community Services Board Petersburg Clinic is offering a great opportunity for a full time licensed professional to work in the  Child/Adolescent Mental Health/Substance Use Outpatient Program.

Essential job duties of this position include: Providing Clinical administration of Mental Health and SUD Outpatient, Court Service Unit and Crater Detention programs. Provide Mental Health Outpatient, SUD Outpatient and Case Support Services at D19 clinics and in the Community. Participate in FAPT and CPMT. Ensure quality assurance for services.

Provide Clinical and administrative supervision to assigned staff and oversite of Mental Health Outpatient, SUD Outpatient, Court Service Unit and Crater Detention programs. Supervise services delivered in assigned D19 programs, provide individual, group and family therapy and case support services. Ensure quality assurance for services.


Requirements: (Experience, Essential Education, and Skills Needed):

Master's degree in human services or related field.

Professional license (i.e. LPC, LCSW), and valid VA Driver's License with acceptable driving record are required.

Knowledge of child and adolescent development, DSM, trauma, etiology and nature of Serious Emotional Disturbance and Substance

Abuse in children and adolescents.

Skills providing individual, group, family, case management, crisis intervention and stabilization, consultation, education and coaching services for parents, teachers, etc.

Good oral and written communication skills. Must possess sound judgment. Clinical skills delivered with sensitivity to socio-economic, racial, ethnic, and gender of consumers.

Skills in clinical supervision and team building.

Knowledge of Comprehensive Service Act in Virginia and Medicaid services for children in Community Services Boards. Knowledge of Electronic Health Records, PHI, confidentiality and human rights.


Preferred Qualifications / Other Relevant Job Information:

Experience providing clinical work and supervision regarding youth with Serious Emotional Disturbance, and/or adolescents at risk of substance use disorders.

 Home and community visits possibly required at times, driving own vehicle or agency vehicle to conduct agency business, sitting at a desk

for long periods of time, typing for long periods, ability to make sound clinical judgment, ability to manage multiple staff of all levels, ability to read/review paperwork, periodic lifting of up to 20 lbs.

This is a Grade-214 salaried position.  The annual salary range is $63,508 minimum.  Salary is negotiable.
