District 19 Community Services Board is seeking a full time Senior Payroll Accountant to process payroll transactions in an automated payroll system as well as prepare quarterly and annual payroll reports. Essential duties of this position include: preparation and processing of semi-monthly payroll for staff of over 180 salaried and wage employees, reconciliation and payment of health insurance, retirement and other fringe benefits, completion of journal entries, maintenance of position data and automated timekeeping system, maintenance of agency leave records and monitoring compliance with federal and state regulations and the agency’s Human Resources Policies and Procedures.
Required: *high school Diploma or equivalent
*At least 5 years experience processing payroll transactions in an automated payroll system
*specific experience performing payroll benefits reconciliations
*knowledge of and demonstrated experience with automated accounting computer systems
*demonstrated experience with personal computer and applications such as word and excel
*demonstrated knowledge of payroll regulations and laws
