Job Description/Essential Functions:

District 19 Community Services Board is a member of the Virginia Associations of Community Services Boards that strives to provide outstanding behavioral health and developmental disability services to the following cities and counties Colonial Heights, Dinwiddie, Emporia, Greensville, Hopewell, Petersburg, Prince George, Surry, and Sussex.  District 19 is searching for an experienced marketing coordinator to join our team. 

The marketing coordinator will contribute to existing programs while assisting with development of new initiatives aligned with agency goals and industry standards for the delivery of behavioral health and developmental services.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a wide range of marketing functions, including communications, advertising, branding, digital, and social media. The marketing coordinator must be an organized multitasker, able to handle diverse projects simultaneously.  Additionally, the ideal candidate must be adept at working independently, analyzing data, compiling research for reports, and serve as a consultant when collaborating with cross-functional team members to launch new agency projects.

The incumbent is responsible for complying with all applicable laws and professional practice standards associated with a pseudo-governmental agency. The incumbent must have the ability to work effectively with all types/levels of persons utilizing ethically sound judgment; demonstrate initiative; excellent time management skills and maintain confidentiality. The incumbent must also possess the ability to be flexible and a team player.


Requirements: (Experience, Essential Education, and Skills Needed):

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, advertising, or communications

Experience with program/service launches or integrated marketing campaigns

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Working knowledge of market research, surveys, and data analytics

Proficiency with content management systems

Experience in planning and leading initiatives

 

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

Proficiency with HTML and Adobe Acrobat

Knowledge of public behavioral health systems

Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and customer relationship management (CRM) tools

Working knowledge of HTML, design, and email software

Experience in budgeting and forecasting

Bilingual (Spanish) candidate preferred.


Preferred Qualifications / Other Relevant Job Information:

Position is a grade 208.  Salary is $44,771.00. Salaries are negotiable.

Telework: This position is eligible for some telework at the discretion of the supervisor and in accordance with the telework policy.

District 19 Community Service Board is a qualifying employer for public service loan forgiveness (PSLF). PSLF is a federal program available to full-time government and nonprofit employees who have Federal Direct Loans and have made 120 payments on the Federal Direct Loans (after Oct. 1, 2007) may be eligible for the remaining loan balance to be forgiven.
