Job Description/Essential Functions:

District 19 Community Services Board located in Petersburg, VA is offering multiple PRN positions as an Another Chance Clinician. The incumbents in this position are responsible for providing psycho-educational groups to students referred by local school districts. 

Students are referred for serious behavioral infractions as determined by their school division administration.  Parenting groups for the parents of referred students are also provided.  Services will be provided in various locations throughout the District 19 catchment area, such as school buildings and community buildings. 

Position responsibilities include providing psycho-educational groups using the curriculum provided.


Requirements: (Experience, Essential Education, and Skills Needed):

Must have Master's degree in a human services field. 

Must have education and/or experience in substance abuse and mental health counseling specifically with regard to providing treatment services to youth and their families.

Basic computer skills.


Preferred Qualifications / Other Relevant Job Information:

The preferred candidate for this position will be walking, sitting at a desk for extended periods of time and required to type on a computer for extended periods of time.

This position is during evening hours.  This position will require travel throughout parts of the District 19 catchment area.

Groups are paid at a flat rate of $125 per group. Other associated work paid at an hourly rate based on grade H-209, $26.08.

Position requires pre-employment extensive background check and drug screening, to include a driver's license report if applicable.
