Job Description/Essential Functions:

District 19 CSB, located in Petersburg, VA is seeking a Part Time Facility Maintenance Tech to provide maintenance services to the Board under the supervision and direction of the Facilities Manager. 

The Facility Maintenance Tech completes routine maintenance requests for all clinic locations.  Basic requests for changing light bulbs, moving boxes, relocation of furniture, assembling new furniture, broken locks, minor plumbing issues with sinks or toilets, requests to have keys made, vehicle requests, etc. Assists with carrying out needed repairs to facilities to include basic plumbing, carpentry, construction, and electrical.  Responsible for assisting with ensuring agency vehicles receive routine maintenance schedules, necessary emergency repairs, and advising Procurement & Facilities Manager of needs and arrange such if necessary.  


Requirements: (Experience, Essential Education, and Skills Needed):

High School Diploma or GED

 Experience in building/vehicle maintenance.

Must be willing/able to drive throughout 9 localities in agency vehicle

 Valid Virginia Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record


Preferred Qualifications / Other Relevant Job Information:

Preferred candidate will have:

Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, construction and carpentry and the installation, maintenance and repair.
Basic knowledge of building trades, materials and tools.
Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and upkeep.
Basic knowledge of building maintenance and upkeep.

 Position is a grade 202 with a minimum hourly rate of $17.35.

Position requires pre-employment extensive background check and drug screening, to include a driver's license report if applicable.
