Job Description/Essential Functions:

District 19 CSB is a multi-jurisdictional agency that provides MH, SUD and Crisis services in 9 localities: including the cities of Petersburg, Colonial Heights, Hopewell, Emporia and the counties of Dinwiddie, Prince George, Sussex, Greensville, and Surry.  This position will be primarily housed in the Hopewell Prince George Clinic; The incumbent may be required to provide services throughout the various D19 Clinics.

Essential job duties of this position include: Providing individual and group therapy to consumers in the community setting who suffers from substance use and co-occurring disorders.  Completing clinical evaluations, comprehensive assessments, SUD  assessments, and person centered treatment plans based on the evaluation and other needs assessments.

The incumbent must have the ability to work effectively with all types/levels of persons utilizing ethically sound judgment; demonstrate initiative; excellent time management skills, and maintain confidentiality.



Requirements: (Experience, Essential Education, and Skills Needed):

Successful applicant must be Licensed(LPC, LCSW) or License Eligible (Registered with Board of Counseling). Knowledge of CSB system; clinical motivation of clients; case management; etiology of substance abuse; related mental disorders; self -help groups; bio, psycho, and social aspects of substance abuse. Skills in group, oral and written communication; multi-cultural sensitivities; sound judgment.

Experience working with adults with SUD as primary disorder, experience with consumers in the criminal justice system, and experience with crisis intervention.

Work experience in group/individual SA work in public agency preferred.

Travel is required within the District 19 CSB catchment area.

Bilingual (Spanish) candidate preferred

Salary:
Position is a grade 210, starting $50,304/annually. 
Offers will be commensurate with knowledge, skills, and abilities subject to budgetary constraints.
