Job Description/Essential Functions:

District 19 Community Services Board is offering a full-time Administrative Support Specialist II position to provide administrative support to the Petersburg Clinic located in Petersburg, Virginia. Essential job duties include; answering the phones including multi- line phone system and directing calls; greeting consumers in a confidential and professional manner and providing excellent customer service. Provides support services to include tasks such as typing, filing, and management of mail and correspondence. Creates and/or maintains associated documents, databases, meetings, special events. Assisting in chart/records organization/preparing for destruction.  Preparing medical record request and responding to them in a timely manner.  Coordinate with central reimbursement office, managers, and clinical staff with concerns regarding consumer’s fees, denials, and account balances.  Collect consumer fees and maintain related records. Strong communication and organizational skills.



Requirements: (Experience, Essential Education, and Skills Needed):

Successful applicant must have high school diploma or equivalent; Experience in mental health or medical setting; Ability to work with limited supervision.  Ability to exercise sound judgment; Must provide excellent customer service and a high level of professionalism. Experience in data entry/typing; computer experience with Microsoft word and Excel; excellent organizational skills.





Preferred Qualifications / Other Relevant Job Information:

Preferred Experience with using Profiler/Electronic Health Records. Some college preferred.

Position requires sitting at a desk for long periods of time, occasional lifting of approximately 25 lbs., bending/squatting to access records/files. Frequent data entry/typing/keyboarding.

Bilingual (English, Spanish) candidate is preferred.

Position is Grade 202. The minimum annual salary is $31,562.00

Excellent benefits include sick and annual leave and Virginia Retirement System. Flexible work schedule, including 4 day work week, is possible in some positions.

Position requires pre-employment extensive background check and drug screening. Driver's license in state of residence with a point balance of -6 or higher.
