Job Description/Essential Functions:

District 19 Community Services Board is seeking a full time Administrative Support Specialist II (Floater) for Adult Services Division in Petersburg.  Essential duties of this position include receptionist duties in a courteous and professional manner.  Filing, receiving and following up on phone calls, data entry, written correspondence, assist with access, verify eligibility of benefits, financials to include working on denials, authorizations, contacting MCOs and insurance companies regarding coverage and pay. Consumer confidentially, create and maintain statistical data, medical records, order and maintain office supplies.


Please note: Position requires travel to area clinics/programs in the D19 catchment area to provide administrative support.

Areas include Emporia, Sussex, Surry, Prince George, Colonial Heights Dinwiddie and Petersburg. 


Requirements: (Experience, Essential Education, and Skills Needed):

High school diploma or equivalent.  Experience with Insurance billing practices to include Medicaid, Medicare and Commercial payors.  Experience with insurance denials, authorization and contacting MCOs.  At least two years of related experience.  Maintain consumer confidentiality.

 

Preferred experience working in a behavioral health setting; general clerical experience; experience working with computer applications (Word, Excel and Outlook) and data entry experience.  Knowledge in preparing financials and/or procurement documents.

Salary:
This is a Grade 202, starting salary is $31,562.00/annually. Salaries are negotiable.

District 19 Community Service Board is a qualifying employer for public service loan forgiveness (PSLF).
