Job Description/Essential Functions:
District 19 Community Services Board is seeking experienced master’s level clinicians to provide emergency services to children and adults in nine D19 service locations and/or in the Crisis Assessment Center located in the City of Hopewell. Essential job duties include: crisis intervention and stabilization, pre-screenings, representation of CSB at involuntary commitment hearings, discharge planning and short term counseling.

Requirements: (Experience, Essential Education, and Skills Needed):
Successful applicants must have: Master’s degree in human services; experience working with people with mental health, intellectual disabilities and substance use disorders in a mental health setting; knowledge of the Virginia Code as it relates to temporary detentions and involuntary commitments; skills in assessment and diagnosis of SA and MH, certification as a Preadmission Screening Evaluator and experience with electronic health records system. Ability to work independently with supervisory back up.

Preferred Qualifications / Other Relevant Job Information:
Candidates must hold at least Licensed Resident with VA BOC. Prefer professional license. Prefer bilingual (English/Spanish) candidate.

Salary: This is a Grade 212, rate of pay is $35/hour. 
Salaries are negotiable. 

Hours: On-call, as needed, not to exceed 28 hours per week. 

Benefits: This position is not benefits eligible.  

Telework: This position is not eligible for telework.

Position requires valid Driver’s License in state of residence with a point balance of -6 or higher, and an extensive pre-employment background check and drug screening.
