Summary/Position Overview:
Under the guidance and supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the Facility Maintenance Supervisor (Energy) will lead all efforts necessary to effectively maintain plant equipment, enhance production and ensure compliance with maintenance protocols. This includes adhering to safety standards, safe work practices, budget parameters and all Health, Safety and Environment requirements.

Duties and Tasks:

DUTIES AND TASK:

Maintain health, safety and environmental standards by:   

  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Stop work if unsafe work conditions emerge
  • Ensure compliance with all environmental and health standards.
  • Ensure that maintenance and safety procedures are adhered to, and
  • Complete all required HSE training.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Achieve performance excellence:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of facility to defects and determine maintenance weekly schedules
  • Generate and assign daily work orders; oversee crafts personnel to meet established KPIs to enhance productivity
  • Active participation in the development and refinement of polices and procedures.
  • Coordinate activities between mechanical maintenance groups and IEC groups.
  • Collaborate with management to develop strategies aimed at reducing rework, and elevating work quality.
  • Liaise with contractors to ensure the delivery of contracted services
  • Manage agreements according to polices and procedures
  • Maintain time keeping of subordinates and contractors
  • Oversee and manage Facility Maintenance Asset Management system within the Work Management System.
  • Manage shop operations through interfacing with vendors, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring timely rebuild of components for outages
  • Maintain inventory of tools and supplies
  • Ensure compliance with the Management of Change program for applicable assignments.
  • Develop reference documents such as procedure or drawings for pre-approved assignments.
  • Participate in RACs for equipment failures and near-miss incidents.
  • Utilization of AutoCAD and other building design platforms for work assignments.
  • Ensure critical plant equipment is tested and evaluated on a regular basis.
  • Develop and organize preventative maintenance and safety inspections programs for all facilities and equipment.
  • Utilize smart platforms and data analysis to maintain and provide reports on the integrity/awareness of operational conditions of facilities.
  • Coordinate construction projects, remodels, and other special projects.
  • Develop and monitor budget expenditures, preparation of cost estimates, submit justification for equipment or projects, and regular submission of other financial forecasting elements.
  • Support management with developing major maintenance schedules, resource planning and staffing requirements.
  • Track and address facility maintenance items in Cority and other safety proactive programs within a given timeframe.
  • Establishing and maintaining good communication with all levels of management and workforce

Provide leadership and development by:

  • Mentor craftsman in best maintenance practices
  • Ensure the Maintenance staff development program is fully functional and effective
  • Coach Working Foreman to improve productivity and effectiveness
  • Identify training needs within the Maintenance team and support career development and progression plans

Stay current with professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing industry publications and engaging in professional societies. Support team success by completing other duties as assigned.










Academic/Skill/Experience Requirements:

Candidate possesses a degree or certification in business, drafting, structural, management, engineering, or a related technical field. Requires at least six years of industrial experience, including three in a supervisory role. Skills include reading construction drawings, understanding 3-phase circuitry, and proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM, EAM, GIS, and facility software. Familiar with rotating equipment alignment, HVAC, mechanical, electrical troubleshooting, and electrical codes. Certification in single and three-phase electrical systems and trade school credentials in electrical or mechanical systems are preferred. Able to operate specialized equipment and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
