Summary/Position Overview:
POSITION OVERVIEW:

This position provide support to the Fleet Department by performing vehicle inspections, cleaning and fueling duties and assisting with basic service repairs.

POSITION SCOPE:

This position is responsible for the cleanliness, general upkeep and physical appearance of GBPC fleets.

Duties and Tasks:
Health, Safety and Environment by:
- Ensuring compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with all environmental and health standards, and
- Completing all required safety and environmental training.

Administrative Support:
- Processing paperwork for vehicle registrations, titles, and insurance.
- Assisting with paperwork related to vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Submit invoices and delivery tickets for processing of payments.
- Tracking vehicle mileage and fuel consumption (possible iPad).

Vehicle Maintenance, Repair & Cleaning Support:
- Cleaning vehicles (interior and exterior).
- Fuelling vehicles, monitoring fuel levels, receiving fuel deliveries
- Assisting mechanics with minor repairs and maintenance tasks.

Provide Workshop Tool, Equipment, Spares & Supplies Support:
- Organizing and maintaining the workshop area, including tools and equipment.
- Ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Cleaning and preparing tools and equipment for use.

Other Duties:
- Assisting with vehicle collection for maintenance and repairs.
- Assisting with collection local quotes, parts and supplies from automotive centers/shops.
- Assisting with loading and unloading vehicles and parts.
- Assisting with vehicle movement.
- Reporting any issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Following all safety rules and procedures.

Academic/Skill/Experience Requirements:

ACADEMIC, SKILL, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

The utility helper will have a High School Diploma and will have successfully completed BGCSE examinations in Mathematics and English Language. The ideal candidate will possess basic mechanical knowledge, including an understanding of automotive systems and minor repair procedures. They should be able to operate hand and power tools, lift and move heavy objects, and accurately perform tasks while maintaining records. Effective communication skills, a team-oriented mindset, and the ability to follow instructions are essential. Previous experience in automotive or fleet maintenance is preferred. A valid Driver’s License is required.
