The Engineering Manager will lead the Customer Operations focused technical support and leadership to general operations, maintenance, and capital projects for Customer Operations work groups. They will carry out tasks associated with improving the transmission and distribution system, reducing outages and improving T&D system performance. They will also have a critical focus on the teams and people they lead, safety, development, communication, performance and productivity and support of their employees’ key accountabilities.

Reviewing the resource allocation and work management process to find efficiencies and manage changes for further optimization by making recommendations
Keeping abreast of new and evolving technology and maintenance techniques in the field of power and energy measurement and make recommendations for change.
Identifying ways to improve the system and reduce/mitigate system losses
Investigating equipment failures to determine root cause and appropriate modifications to prevent recurrence
Monitoring the system performance of T&D relative to availability and efficiency

The candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited (or equivalent) program, with at least six years of engineering experience in an industrial environment. Proven experience delivering capital projects with budgets exceeding $500K. Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred. Strong working knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and practices related to transmission and distribution systems. Proficient in reading P&IDs, process flow diagrams, single-line, and schematic drawings. Demonstrated commitment to safety, including solid knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out practices. Brings strong technical, analytical, presentation, and project management skills, with a solid grasp of general engineering processes.
