Summary/Position Overview:

The Technician II is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of all facilities and grounds. Additionally, the candidate will assess and consider daily the safety of our employees, the security of our assets and the service to our stakeholder. This position will coordinate outside contractors or vendors for various services.




Duties and Tasks:

 Maintain health, safety and environmental standards by:

  • Ensuring compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with all environmental and health standards, and
  • Completing all required HSE training.

General support of operations by:

  • Assisting with monitoring contractor performance and works closely with outside vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed according to specifications.
  • Assisting with managing all facility construction projects.
  • Performing preventative maintenance of Headquarter water tank farm.
  • Assisting with relocation of office furniture at various locations.
  • Obtaining quotes and supplies from vendors.
  • Monitoring and replacing light fixtures in all assigned facilities, as needed.
  • Making minor electrical repairs and installations at the various locations.
  • Making minor plumbing, painting, and wall repairs, as necessary.
  • Performing daily maintenance of all a/c and refrigeration units.
  • Assisting with residential and plant maintenance.
  • Supporting the update of EAM and a/c repair logs.
  • Maintaining Facilities inventory.
  • Overseeing all grounds.
  • Assisting with Fire Alarm Paneling at GBPC.
  • Assisting with immediate removal of trash to maintain clean facility at T&D.
  • Performs other maintenance duties as assigned by the Facilities Working Foreman or as assigned.
  • Maintaining effective communication with team lead or as assigned of facilities abnormalities.

Academic/Skill/Experience Requirements:

The candidate will be a technically trained professional in HVAC or a related field, with experience in project coordination, vendor management, and facilities or maintenance operations. They will demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet strict deadlines, and follow detailed instructions. The role requires proficiency in using standard tools and flexibility to travel to various work sites as needed.
