Summary/Position Overview:

The Temporary Billings Associate will be responsible for processing bills, addressing all customer service complaints, queries, set up and termination of accounts, provide monthly reports and other clerical duties as needed. The Billings Clerk is expected to ensure the delivery of accurate, timely bills to the company’s residential, commercial and industrial customers, in conjunction with the relevant internal stakeholders

 

Maintain health, safety and environment standards by:

- Ensuring compliance with all safety policies and procedures.

- Ensuring compliance with all environmental and health standards, and

- Completing all required HSE training.


Duties and Tasks:

Ensure accuracy of billing processes by:

  • Printing correct Service Orders in the applicable system and following up with Billings Lead to ensure they are completed in a timely manner.
  •  Daily verification of data imported into the systems of record.
  • Analyzing, calculating and processing customer adjustments timely.
  • Responding to a wide variety of customer complaints and inquiries and making relevant adjustments to accounts.
  • Inputting required information to commence or to finalize a power billing to customers.

 

Ensure efficiency in the execution of billing functions, initiative and operations by:

  • Processing customer billings and resolving any billing issues that may arise efficiently and effectively.
  • Liaising with relevant workgroup to resolve any errors which may occur as a result of wrong readings and malfunction of meters.
  • Uploading and downloading routes in applicable systems.
  • Reporting any work related issues to Billings Lead as they occur.
  • Establishing and maintaining respectful relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely manner via follow-up with external and internal customers.
  • Assisting in the collection of overdue accounts
  • Filing any forms, reports, paperwork in an orderly and accessible fashion.

 

Maintain Customer Care Excellence by:

  • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending training with support of new systems and system software applications.
  • Collaborating with other team mates to accomplish goals and other work related tasks
  • Performing other customer service duties as assigned

Academic/Skill/Experience Requirements:

The Temporary Billings Associate will have an earned High School Diploma in a business-related field with Fundamental Accounting knowledge and sound mathematics skills. They will be confidential and have demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and have prior experience in Customer Service. They must have excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate ability to identify and effectively restore customer issues.

 

The Billings Clerk must have thorough knowledge of the general rules and regulations for Electric Service.
