Summary/Position Overview:

This temporary position/role focuses on expediting international orders, coordinating logistics, maintaining accurate tracking systems, and supporting procurement activities to ensure operational continuity, especially under time-sensitive and emergency conditions.

Position Scope:                  

The Temporary Expeditor is responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and equipment for the energy operations.



Duties and Tasks:

Environmental, Health & Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with all safety policy and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with all environmental and health standards.
  • Completing all required HSE training. 

Duties and Tasks are to:

  • Expedite international purchase orders to meet required timelines while ensuring safe delivery to the facility.
  • Coordinate logistics with suppliers, freight forwarders, and brokers, including arranging charter flights and shipping for emergency or critical goods.
  • Monitor shipments from origin to final destination, resolve delays or disruptions and reduce freight costs through effective shipment consolidation.
  • Maintain and update the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system with accurate purchase order and shipment status information.
  • Follow up with Accounts Payable regarding vendor payments to facilitate timely order processing.
  • Review and enhance current purchase order shipping and tracking reports to provide real time visibility of order status.
  • Communicate supply challenges or delays to management and warehouse supervisors and recommend solutions.
  • Assist procurement team with supplier delivery performance and annual performance assessments for inventory vendors.
  • Manage backorders to acceptable levels and proactively resolve issues such as shortages, overages, or incorrect materials.
  • Ensure timely follow-up and resolution of discrepancies affecting operations.
  • Compile, verify, and distribute shipping and procurement documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, and certifications.
  • Ensure all documentation meets regulatory and operational requirements.

He/she will be expected to participate in training as necessary.


Academic/Skill/Experience Requirements:

The candidate will have an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience), with 3–5 years of experience in expediting, logistics, or procurement, preferably in the energy, utility, or industrial sectors. Experience in international shipping, freight forwarding, and customs clearance processes is required.
