Under the direct supervision of the Department's Chief Probation Officer, the Probation Officer independently performs professional field work in the surveillance, arrest, supervision, and case management of select offenders; supervises an assigned caseload of offenders having financial, legal, family, employment, personal, sexual, and psychological problems; works with community social service agencies, area law enforcement, community service work sites, and other criminal justice officials.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree from a four year college or university with a degree in education, social service, psychology, sociology, criminal justice, or other related human services degree.  Requires thorough knowledge of court system, social service agencies and related State Statutes.
