Brief Job Description: Under general supervision performs a variety of responsible engineering work, applying professional engineering principles and practices to a variety of projects on County Highways and Township Roads. Work involves preparing and reviewing engineering plans & specifications for road & bridge related construction or maintenance projects; serving as resident engineer on construction and maintenance projects for roads, bridges, and drainage facilities. Education Requirements: Four year college level education with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. Possession of or ability to obtain Engineer In Training (EIT) certification from the State of Illinois. Prefer 2 to 3 years of experience in highway design, construction, and maintenance and bridge construction. Benefits:
