POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the development and oversight of Maniilaq’s capital improvementprojects, ensuring quality of work and adherence to budgetary and scheduledemands. Project development includes planning, space development,architectural design and specifications, code compliance, constructionadministration, consistent with Maniilaq’s Facilities master plan. Reportsdirectly to the Vice President.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES

1.      Develops and manages all capital projects.

2.      Coordinates and consults with the Director ofFacilities, Director of Planning, Chief Financial Officer, MHC FacilitiesSupport Services Director and affected Maniilaq Administrator(s) on allprojects.

3.      Prepares and monitors construction and servicecontracts related to capital projects.

4.      Maintains written and verbal communications withfunding sources, Planning and Development, and Administration, includingrequired reports and proposals.

5.      Develops and oversees implementation ofManiilaq’s Facilities master plan.

6.      Prepares and presents reports to the governingbody as requested.

7.      Serves on committees and teams as appropriateand assigned.



Job Qualifications:
MINIMUMREQUIREMENTS
The capabilities normally equated with completion of a Bachelor’s Degree (in apertinent field such as, but not limited to, Engineering, and PlantMaintenance) or equivalent experience, and ten (10) years of work experience ina related field. Should possess strong technical, administrative,organizational and communications skills. An appropriate Master’s degree may besubstituted for two (2) years of the required experience. Valid Alaska Driver’slicense with a good enough driving history to be covered by Maniilaq’sinsurance.
