POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Chore Services Provider (CSP) provides regular chore activities for qualified elders who require services to live independently in their own homes. This position reports directly to the Elder Services Program Coordinator.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

1.       Make beds and change linens,

2.       Laundry

3.       Light housekeeping including dusting and vacuuming.

4.       Trash removal

5.       Cleaning medical equipment including bedside commodes, wheelchairs, etc.

6.       Water haul, fire wood cutting and hauling.

7.       Snow removal needed to keep doors and walkways clear.

8.       Meal preparation.

9.       Assisting in bathing as requested.

10.    Run errands; Post Office and Shopping.  

11.    Adhere to confidentiality guidelines, as outlined by organization policy and HIPAA regulations.

12.    Attend and maintain all training requirements in accordance with current applicable Federal, State, and local requirements, as well as organizational policies and procedures.

13.    Provide necessary documentation that supports services rendered.

14.    Coordinates with ES Care Coordinator on delivery of equipment and assistance with consumer paperwork/applications.

15.    Reports any changes or concerns to the ES Coordinator, relating to the individual in which services are being provided to. 

Any other services needed by the consumer as outlined in the individual’s Plan of Care.  
Job Qualifications:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Must provide a criminal history statement and fingerprints, which show there is no history of crimes that would pose a current danger to consumers.  Must be self-motivated, dependable, and have the ability to work with minimum supervision. Must obtain CPR and First Aid within 3 months of hire and must keep current. Knowledge of Inupiaq language and culture preferred.  Must be able to lift at least 60 pounds. Ability to demonstrate oral and written instructions.
