POSITION SUMMARY

 

Provide support for the IT staff by receiving and responding to both telecommunications and computer work requests along with an IT Technician; assists with installing, maintaining and repairing computer hardware; and learning the hardware and software being used; Reports to Inutek Manager. 

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Assists the IT technicians with work assignments.
  2. Receives and responds to computer system work requests (with IT Technician).
  3. Installs and maintains computer workstations (with IT Technician).
  4. Spends time learning the systems hardware and software.
  5. Relief for IT Staff during extreme busy periods & vacations.
Job Qualifications:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

 

Some computer literacy.  Must be willing to learn the basic fundamentals of Information Services.  Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with people in the service area and state agencies required.  Must be able to work independently and be able to prioritize and manage several projects at one time.  Familiar with the Maniilaq Service Area, the culture, and its people is preferred.
