POSITION SUMMARY

This position assists the Central Supply Manager in operating the department by focusing primarily on resource management, including preparing purchases from the Regional Warehouse inventory. Responsible for opening or closing the Central Stores Department and the accompanying duties assigned to that task. Conducts daily office tasks, enters data into inventory computer program. Filing documents, checking invoices and packing slips on materials received. Assists customers. Prepares and sorts mail.  Reports directly to the Central Supply Manager.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Supports the Central Supply Manager.
  2. Coordinates day to day operations of the Central Store in the absence of department manager.
  3. Ensures Maniilaq Health Center mail and freight is received, shipped and distributed correctly.
  4. Assist with inventory management and customer communication.
  5. Instruct team members in all aspects of their assigned responsibilities within the department to ensure they have the knowledge, skills, and ability to provide consistent customer satisfaction
  6. Communicate effectively with Stores Manager, Director and peers.
  7. Assist customers by providing product information, answering questions, completing billing transactions
  8. Responsible for inputting data into the inventory management software.
  9. Assist warehouse technicians, ensuring all invoices and packing slips are checked and routed to proper programs.
  10. Ensures all orders / backorders are completed and documented.
  11. Ensures proper filing of Central Sterile/store documents.
  12. Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

 

High school diploma or equivalent. One year of specialized or administrative experience. Must be able to type well enough to efficiently carry out duties. Able to use the computer at the beginning level for word processing, data entry and spreadsheets. Able to learn and work with database inventory software. Able to learn and become familiar with hospital medical supplies and equipment. Familiar with daily office procedures. Able to assume responsibility and follow instructions with a minimum amount of supervision.
