POSITION SUMMARY
This position is under the supervision of the Housing Services Manager. This position is responsible for the housekeeping of all Maniilaq Housing (20 unit; Family Pet Housing; 40 Unit; 479 Buildings; 429 building; 438 Building; 439 Building) preparation and cleans up as well as the cleaning around the units.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Clean vacant units and prepare them for the next tenant’s arrival.
2. Performs minor preventive maintenance on equipment such as lubricating, cleaning, and changing light bulbs.
3. Moderate lifting of equipment requiring moving furniture by sliding on floor. Assistance is required in moving heavier items such as sofas, beds and bookshelves.
4. Assisting the Housing manager or Administrative Assistant.
5. Responsible for cleanup of all common areas (hallways, stairwells) within the complex and ground clean up and ice and snow removal around entryways.
6. Shall notify the Housing Manager or Administrative Assistant of tenants whom are in violation of conditions as stated in the Maniilaq Association Housing Manual.
7. Perform and/or assume other job or work related duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
General knowledge of cleaning agents and proper usage. Must be able to work under minimal supervision. Current Alaska Driver’s license preferred. Person must be on call around the clock.
