POSITION SUMMARY

The Provider Enrollment Specialist is responsible for the day to day operations of provider enrollment for the Maniilaq Association.  Provider enrollment consists of following established processes with the health plans and providers to ensure proper enrollment and demographic changes. The Provider Enrollment Specialist reports to Director of Patient Financial Services, and helps to support providers and office staff to effectively manage the enrollment process and communication on statuses.   Must be able to work independently as well as in a collaborative team setting and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.  Performs duties requiring expert level organization, detail and follow-up skills. 

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.    Prepares and submits enrollment applications 

2.    Follows up on the status of applications for Physicians and Payers 

3.    Keeps detailed log of all pending and completed work 

4.    Maintains/Updates enrollment reports 

6.    Communicates enrollment status to those involved on an as needed basis 

7.    Resolves issues and/or claim denials related to provider or NPI numbers

8.    Able to communicate effectively all concerns delaying timely enrollment

9.    Attend webinars for continued education

10.  Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

High school graduate or equivalent. Two (2) years clerical experience in a business or health care administration field. Experience in creating and maintaining file systems; knowledge of computer applications a must; ability to operate all office equipment; excellent organizational skills. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task effectively with strong attention to detail.
