This person is responsible for the documentation of received warehouse supplies. Assists customers; stocks and rotates supplies; prepares materials for shipment; assists with coordinating the driver in receiving, distributing and shipping supplies and equipment to all Maniilaq programs.
1. Responsible for the accurate receipt and delivery of stock items to the proper destination. Additionally, assembles, packs and ships stock items to eleven (11) village clinics, vendor returns or other field locations as required.
2. Assist the Central Stores Manager to help maintain adequate inventory for medical and administrative requirements.
3. Assures the security and cleanliness of all storage areas.
4. Responsible for the proper identification and placement of stock in appropriate storage areas. Rotates stocked items to control outdated supplies.
5. Assures adequate stock of oxygen bottle gases for hospital and all 11 village clinics.
6. Practice hazardous materials safety requirements in the handling and storage of bottled gases, medical supplies and equipment.
7. Maintains a safe, adequately supplied and organized central stores room and an efficient delivery schedule.
8. Assists employee customers with issue of stocked items.
9. Assists and assumes duties of the Warehouseman/Driver when needed.
10. Other duties as assigned.
High school graduate or equivalent. Must be able to lift and carry 70 pounds. Familiar with working with database inventory software. Able to learn and become familiar with hospital medical supplies and equipment, preferred. Able to learn and become familiar with shipping, receiving, and /or warehouse procedures, preferred. Able to assume responsibility and follow instructions with a minimum of supervision. Valid Alaska driver’s license (or obtain within 3 months of being hired) with a good enough driving record to be covered by Maniilaq’s insurance.
