POSITION SUMMARY
Licensed physicians provide clinical care for patients living in the Northwest Arctic Borough and Pt. Hope, Alaska. When necessary, subspecialty consultation is usually obtained from specialists in Anchorage and/or Fairbanks.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide consultations and/or procedures for patients at Maniilaq Health Center outpatient Specialty Clinic..
Conduct village field clinics and education outreach.
Maintain patients' clinical records.
Attend to committee assignments and any clinical or administrative meetings necessary for Health Center function.
Provide clinical support/supervision for advanced practice providers when necessary
Specific duties and responsibilities are also delineated in employment agreements and privileging approvals through the Medical Staff and Board.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
M.D. or D.O., from accredited medical school. Unrestricted Physician License (Commissioned Corps-any state including Puerto Rico).
Board Eligible/Board Certified in Specialty privileged to provide at the Health Center.
Credentials and privileges approved by Maniilaq Medical Staff and Board of Directors.
