POSITION SUMMARY
Oversees Employee Health Services for all of the Maniilaq Health Center and their respective designated category 1 and 2 employees. The Employee Health Nurse maintains a close working relationship with Human Resources for the quality assessment/ improvements of employee relation functions. The Employee Health Nurse endeavors to promote health and safety to all employees by facilitating an Employee Health Program which includes disease detection, prevention and treatment; following up on employee illnesses and injuries; conducting employee health screenings; and, promoting a safe work environment. This position reports to the Infection Prevention Manager and covers for Infection Prevention activities when manager as needed.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Graduated from and accredited RN or LPN Program with at least three years of experience. Must have an LPN/RN license in good standing. BLS and others as determined by the CNO. Must be able to pass the core competencies assigned to this position, those of an RN or LPN at MHC, and maintain the educational requirements of the department. Ability to utilize various computer programs, including RPMS, EHR, Microsoft Office, and Excel database programs. Potential for exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials.
