POSITION SUMMARY
This position requires knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and its application to accounting practices. This position also requires in-depth knowledge of the financial authorization process described in the Association’s various Policies and Procedures. This position reports directly to the Controller.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Process Bank Reconciliations
Prepare periodic grant reports for the appropriate grant authorities. Processes and submits reports.
Process and submit periodic grant drawdowns when due
Generate financial reports as requested.
Enters all budget information into Navision.
Assist CFO or Controller in establishing departmental policies and supervising the daily department operation
Reviews and ensures proper coding for expenses including payroll, and adjusts journal entries as needed.
Assists program managers with periodic financial and grant reports.
Process payments and proper posting of expenses for large vendors (examples: Nullagvik Hotel and Vitus).
Journalize tax liability payments and reconciles with General Ledger.
Other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree with Accounting or Business major plus three years of relevant experience. Equivalent work experience may substitute for the Bachelor’s Degree. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and sit for prolonged periods of time. Working knowledge of network environment (not necessarily with network operating skills). Requires annual audit experience.
