Area Manager of Operations - Boston area

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The Area Manager of Operations assists with oversight of daily operations for multiple urgent care centers within their market. This ideal candidate will have an  X-Ray Technician or Medical Assistant background.  The ability to lead people in a positive, straight forward manner.  The understanding of medical terminology is a mustThe ideal candidate will also have a proven ability to work with a diverse team effectively through successful experience in mentoring, inspirational leadership and positive conflict resolution. The manager will be a strong self-starter, a communicative leader and a collaborative team player that is energized by the ambiguity of a fast-paced, high-growth environment and the opportunity to pitch in where needed.  The manager is extremely well-organized and proactive in identifying potential issues and addressing them and possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 2-3 years of progressively responsible direct management accountability.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Clinical experience needed.

EXPERIENCE: 2+ years of management and/or supervisor experience. Multi-unit/site experience strongly preferred. Medical/healthcare setting preferred.


  • Market Leadership
    • Support the Area Director of Operations as a market subject matter expert for center operations
    • Review established business practice guidelines and patterns for operational efficiency and standardization. Conduct spot audits to ensure compliance.
    • Accountable for effective communication, feedback loop, and sharing of best practices across the organization and with senior leadership.
    • Partner with Area Director of Operations and Medical Director regularly to ensure appropriate and consistent operational and clinical service delivery.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Commitment to exceptional patient centric service delivery. Rally staff on the mission and ensure consistently positive patient experiences in alignment with objectives, standards, established policies and procedures, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
    • Address patient concerns promptly, utilizing exceptional customer service skills. Make recommendations for and/or implement resolutions as necessary.
    • Maintain a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and families in accordance with company standards.
    • Respond to and resolve operational requests from key stakeholders.
  • Company Culture
    • Participate in interviewing, hiring orientation, onboarding, and recurring training delivery of subordinates.
    • Active participation in the development of an enterprise wide pipeline of future market and leadership talent.
    • Ensure high associate morale through creation and maintenance of a professional, effective, efficient, rewarding and inclusive working atmosphere.
    • Evaluate and provide feedback on staff performance on a regular basis including coaching, corrective action, and regular performance reviews.
    • Perform special projects as assigned.

·               Ability to lift15-30 lbs.

·               Required to movefrom one location to another within and outside of the building; push, pull andreach; bend; stand for long periods of time; and sit for long periods of time.  Must be able tospeak and write English fluently.
