Key Duties and Responsibilities:

MedSpring Urgent Care is rapidly growing in Austin.  We currently have eight centers and are in need of Advanced Practitioners who have at least one year of experience in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine

MedSpring Urgent Care is recognized as one of the premier urgent care organizations in the country.  We have 32 locations in Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas and Houston and are adding 17 more centers in 2016.  Our providers treat patients 1 year of age and older.  We often treat sore throats, fever, bumps, bruises, and breaks.  Our centers have a state-of-the-art EMR system, X-Ray equipment, and a laboratory on-site to provide the best quality of care.

  • 13 – 15 shifts per month

  • EMR – eClinical Works – Ambulatory Software – User Friendly

Job Qualifications:
  • State medical license
  • DEA license
  • State controlled substances license (if applicable)
  • Successful completion of a training program and be able to treat patients in a solo practice environment
  • Board eligibility or certification
  • Pediatric experience
  • Experience in procedures including suturing and splinting
  • Experience in reading diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs
  • BLS/ACLS and PALS certification (MedSpring will provide if needed
  • Experience treating workers’ compensation cases
  • DOT certification
  • Outstanding bedside manner with children and adults

Schedule:
Full-time: Total of 156 hours per month
Part-time: 48-120 hours per month
