IT Project Coordinator

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

SUMMARY:

We are looking for an organized, effective IT Project Coordinator to administer and organize various IT projects.  These projects can vary from simple data entry to plans that are more complex.  You would will be working closely with our IT Manager to prepare action plans, time frames, breakdown tasks, etc.. To succeed in this role, you should have excellent time management and communication skills, as you will be collaborating with several departments and vendors. 

Ultimately, your role is to ensure that projects are completed on time, and meet a high standard of quality.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the batch configuration of technical hardware for new centers.
  • Work with IT Manager on Vendor contract management and re-evaluation as needed.
  • Work in MedSpring’s Electronic Medical Record system to manage new facilities and electronic interfaces with vendor partners.
  • Configure and test new hardware – Includes but not limited to phones, printers, tablets and x-ray equipment.
  • Utilize MedSpring purchase order system to order all necessary hardware for new centers.
  • Clearly define scope of projects and ultimate deliverables.
  • Compile project status reports, coordinate project schedules and manage project meetings.
  • Proactively identify, manager and resolve issues and risks.
  • Work closely with cross functional teams and IT staff to guide them through the various projects.
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned.  

Job Qualifications:

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor’s Ddegree in Computer Science preferred.

Experience: Experience in a fast-paced customer service-oriented and/or healthcare IT environment preferred.  

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience supporting a variety of computer hardware, software and networking.
  • Advanced technical troubleshooting, analysis, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, phone and Customer Support skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions, occasionally in urgent situations.
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills.
  • Ability to learn multiple programs and systems.
  •  Experience working with Windows Active Directory preferred.
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Solid Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Office 365
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows 8 operating systems

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to travel, both by car and plane.
  • Must be able to speak and write English fluently.

The ability to work a flexible schedule that includes some evenings and weekends.
