Key Duties and Responsibilities:
MedSpring Urgent care seeks talented, patient-oriented Nurse Practitioners (NP) who enjoy delivering high quality. MedSpring serves the acute care needs of patients 12 months and older. In our centers, you will experience the full spectrum of urgent care conditions from acute illnesses to traumatic injuries. As an urgent care Nurse Practitioner (NP), you should be comfortable performing procedures including, but not limited to, splinting, suturing and drainage of abscesses. Interpreting diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs are required. In addition to treating acute illnesses and injuries the Nurse Practitioner (NP) you will conduct school, sports and pre-employment physicals. Our centers are equipped with state-of-the-art digital radiography and CLIA-waived laboratory equipment. All MedSpring locations utilize eClinicalWorks electronic medical record (EMR).

Job Qualifications:
• Active Illinois medical license
• Board certification
• DEA license
• Illinois controlled substances license
• ER or urgent care experience preferred
Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses
Experience with reading diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs
BLS certification (we will provide this if needed) Personal characteristics
• Outstanding bedside manner with children and adults
• Positive, energetic attitude which inspires other team members
• Sense of service and team orientation absent of hubris
• Desire to contribute to building and maintaining a great organization

Strongly Preferred Qualities
1 year + Family Medicine or Urgent Care Experience
1 year+ Pediatric experience (12 months and older)
Occupational Health Experience (preferred/not required)
?BLS certification is REQUIRED

156 hours per month are available 7 days a week including weekends and holidays.
