MedSpring seeks a talented, accomplished construction project manager to manage our center development pipeline and lead multiple concurrent construction projects as we continue to expand across the country. Reporting to the Director, Construction and Facility Management, the Project Manager, Construction and Center Development will be responsible for the facilitation, planning, development and execution of design-phase projects from inception to construction completion and turnover to operations. Having built out high end retail, hospitality, food and beverage or other consumer facing projects will be a benefit to understanding MedSpring’s approach to design, construction and brand management.
The successful candidate will be a member of the Construction Team and will collaborate with the team on projects such as punch list completion, preventative maintenance, contract management, asset management, service provider management and budget controls. Key characteristics will include a strong sense of organization, attention to detail and positive, energetic outlook, demonstrating the ability and desire to multi-task across various projects and departments (both internal and external). A successful track record of managing and achieving deadlines in time sensitive construction related projects as well as managing those projects within a defined budget are a key strength.

Partner with architectural and engineering professionals, coordinating interior finish outs from initial test fit through final construction document release.
Ability to effortlessly utilize AutoCad for rudimentary space planning to understand facility suitability.
Lead efforts and coordinate preparation of project scope, design and review of construction documents for accuracy and completeness, meeting established brand guidelines, budgetary requirements, national and state codes.
Ability to multi-task and accurately manage project milestones timely, balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Experienced to read, analyze and interpret common blueprints and project specifications.
Working knowledge of building construction and project management methods, including independent full scope project leadership.
Some experience working with Life Safety Codes, current building codes and construction cost estimating.
Ability to respond to common inquiries from landlords, developers, regulatory agencies or internal team members.
Provide effective construction oversight management of assigned projects through daily coordination with General contractors, site observation of construction, schedule management, project close-out and post construction issues such as warranty or latent defect claims. Provides both, long distance and regular on-site support for key milestones during the construction timeline.
Committed to continuously improving the quality and value of service provided to centers and market management by looking for pro-active and solution-centered approaches. Learns from data and committed to continuous improvement and refinement of the construction playbook.
Assist other internal and external project team members and customers as required to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Manages on-line work order management system for appropriate facility management and preventative maintenance tasks during all business hours, either scheduled or on an emergent basis.
Evaluates the effectiveness of Facilities services to the centers and develops and recommends methods of improvement/expansion of these services.
Monitors energy usage and helps develop programs to reduce energy consumption.
