Associate Medical Director - Gwinnett County

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

ChoiceOne Urgent Care is rapidly growing in the Gwinnett County (45 minutes from the Atlanta metro area) and is seeking a highly qualified physician for the role of Associate Medical Director. Eligible candidates must be board certified in family medicine, emergency medicine or internal medicine and have experience with pediatric and adult patients.

Additional facilities include: the Gwinnett Women’s Pavilion, the Gwinnett Extended Care Center, Glancy Rehabilitation Center, outpatient health centers and surgical centers, imaging centers and outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapy facilities.

We currently have (2) urgent care centers in Georgia: Buford (Hamilton Hill) and Sugar Hill.

  • Competitive Base Salary
  • Clinical + Administrative duties
  • Reports to Regional Medical Director
  • Centers are Open from 8am – 8pm / No Nights
  • 3-4 patients / hour
  • Digital X-ray / Laboratory / Occupational Health
  • 6-8 Patient Rooms / Procedure Room
  • Best in class Urgent Care specific EMR: Practice Velocity

CLINICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Active medical license in state of residence
  • Unrestricted DEA license
  • Board certification (or board eligible if a new graduate)
  • BLS certification

Job Qualifications:

The AMD will possess an exemplary clinical acumen and will lead by example, demonstrating the highest clinical and patient experience standards. Candidate must have excellent communication skills, a passion for leadership and teamwork.

The AMD will be responsible for the following:

  • Providing physician oversight to the Advance Practitioner team
  • Training and development of the Advance Practitioner team
  • Ensuring compliance with ChoiceOne core values and goals
  • Assisting in the creation and implementation of best practice programs
  • Promoting the ChoiceOne brand in the medical community
  • Working closely with the medical community and our hospital partners to build strong, trusted relationships

KEY ROLES:

  • Meet with Regional and Market Medical Directors on a regular basis
  • Supervision of Advanced Practitioners on staff
  • Development of clinical and patient experience content
  • Providing market leadership with new and evolving initiatives as needed

Schedule:
Weekly clinical shifts dividing time between market centers to ensure center optimization and compliance with ChoiceOne Care’s procedures and practices
