Market Trainer

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

MedSpring Urgent Care seeks a talented Market Trainer.  The successful candidate will be a member of the Operations Leadership Team reporting directly to the Area Director of Operations with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Sr. Manger, Learning & Development.   The Market Trainers work as an integral part of the operations and training teams.  This role will play a key role in the on-boarding and training of all MedSpring associates and providers. The Market Trainer will be responsible for ensuring the successful on-boarding and development of new hires, facilitate new hire orientation classes, provide clinical training for operations teams (EMR, OSHA, DOT UDS & BAT, etc.), and revise and update training content as needed.   The Market Trainer will be a key point of contact for all clinical staff when it comes to ensuring they have the proper skills to provide exceptional patient care.   There will be a dedicated Market Trainer for each market. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Min of 2-3 13-hour clinical shifts per month to maintain skills and ensure training remains applicable
  • Ability to work nights and weekends, as needed
  • Onboarding and training of all clinical associates
  • Facilitate new hire training for all clinical staff (MAs and Rad Techs)
  • Partner with Training Physicians to create a successful on-boarding experience for providers
  • Participate in first day of training for providers
  • Verifies I9 documents and forms in both electronic and paper form, as needed and in compliance with federal law
  • Deliver instructor-led education programs in person and via webinar, video, etc.
  • Participate and facilitate train the trainer sessions, as needed
  • Partner with market leadership and center support leaders on the roll out of new initiatives across the organization
  • Partner with Area Director of Operations to identify training gaps and develop solutions as part of on-going associate development
  • Engage in the creation of core educational content as a subject matter expert
  • Evaluate needs and gaps in clinical content, culture, and technical resource training content and recommend change, as needed
  • Provide continuing education classes (HIPAA, OSHA, etc.)
  • Train DOT certifications to include Urine Drug Screen Collectors and Breath Alcohol Technicians
  • Scheduling and completion of required DOT Error Correction Training

  • Track all required training and certifications to ensure compliance with all state, federal and local laws and company policies

  • Provides mentoring to associates that need help with skill development
  • Schedule and communicate training classes, as needed
  • Special projects as identified by Senior Manager, Learning and Development
  • Schedule and participation in completing 45 day assessments
  • Regular participation in presenting training topics on Huddle calls and Market Meetings
  • Active participation in building relationships with local MA/Rad Tech schools to build talent through extern programs
  • Regular evaluation of market externs and tailoring of training to achieve proficiency
  • Coordination of skill-building sessions with market Preceptors
  • Safeguard and maintain market training equipment
  • Assist ADOP with performance evaluations as needed

 Skills and Abilities

 

  • Ability to demonstrate strong oral, written and presentation skills, with the ability to speak effectively to large and small groups.

Education

 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Graduate from an accredited RT, LMRT, NCT or MA program

Professional Experience / Certifications

  • Licensed NCT/LMRT/RT required to maintain license in good-standing along with completion of required CME

  • Certified MA required to maintain certification with completion of required CME

  • Maintains current BLS/CPR certification

  • Minimum two (2) years training experience preferred
  • Must be a certified or licensed MA, RT, LMRT or NCT

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift 15-30 lbs.
  • Required to move from one location to another within and outside of the building; push, pull and reach; bend; stand for long periods of time; and sit for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to speak and write English fluently.

 

Travel

  • Travel domestically
  • Travel to other markets as needed to support training initiatives
  • Minimal overnight travel
