  • Deputy Lead for contractor support for construction, reactivation, design, planning, conversion, repair, and overhaul of ships and craft for a large, diverse, and complex U.S. Navy customer organization.
  • Organizes, directs, and manages contract operation support functions, involving multiple, complex, and inter-related project tasks.
  • Manages teams of contract support personnel at multiple locations.
  • Maintains and manages the customer interface at senior levels of the customer organization.
  • Meets with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverables. 
  • Ensures conformance with program task schedules and costs.
  • Develops and enforces work standards.
  • Provides quality assurance, communicates goals, objectives, and policies.
  • Provides financial management and project administration.
  • Supervises and directs staff on a daily basis.

Security Clearance Requirement

  • An active SECRET security clearance is required.

Qualification Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience with major emphasis in management and administration, including at least 4 years of experience in program/project management as related to contracted work to the DOD.
  • A BS in Engineering (BSE) is required; A BS or BA in a technical/non-technical field may be substituted provided that personnel meet all other requirements and have at least 5 years within the 10 years required work experience directly related to the position; In lieu of a degree and 10 years of experience, 20 years of related work experience can be substituted for personnel not having the required degree.
  • Must possess the skills and ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
  • Must possess and exercise diplomatic tact and have the capability and capacity to develop and manage complex business relationships with multiple organizations.
  • Must be proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Office products and tools.
  • Travel (10-20%) may be required.
