Public Job Description

The Senior LHA(R) Financial Team Lead will:

  • Serve as the Lead Financial Analyst for the LHA(R) Program and manages the LHA(R) Financial Team for all hulls and financial products.
  • Support execution planning and analysis, funding documentation preparation, and execution tracking and reconciliation for a Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Program Office.
  • Execute complex and time-sensitive BFM functions within applicable shipbuilding programs to meet ongoing and emergent requirements of the Program Office, PEO, SYSCOM, OPNAV, Navy, and DoD.
  • Supervise and directs personnel in specific daily, weekly, and monthly requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Security Clearance Requirement:   

  • An active SECRET security clearance is required.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree (BS/BA) in a technical or managerial discipline is required.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience providing financial management and execution support to an ACAT I shipbuilding program within a NAVSEA Program Office(s) is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in DoD financial accounting systems, including Program Budget Information System (PBIS), NAVSEA Headquarters System (NHS), Standard Accounting and Reporting System (STARS), Mechanization of Contract Administration Services System (MOCAS), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) / Navy ERP (NERP) is required.
  • Must possess and exercise diplomatic tact and have the capability and capacity to develop and manage complex business relationships with multiple organizations.
  • Must be proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Office products and tools. 
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and highly organized
  • Must be available to travel 10-15% of the time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
