Public Job Description

Job Description: Serve as a Loadmaster and a member of the complete LCAC craft crew, working with military and maintenance support contract personnel. Direct and assist the loading, unloading, and securing of cargo onboard LCAC, and ensure accuracy of craft weight and center of gravity. Act as Port Lookout during underway operations and supervise all seamanship evolutions. Perform craft inspections and accomplishment of maintenance, modifications, and repair of deck equipment. Support additional internal and external tasking requirements as assigned.


Security Clearance Requirements: An active SECRET security clearance is required.


Qualification Requirements:

  • Must have prior US Navy LCAC Loadmaster experience, including directing and assisting the loading, unloading, and securing of cargo onboard LCACs, ensuring accuracy of craft weight and center of gravity, acting as Port Lookout during underway operations and supervising all seamanship evolutions.

  • Must be knowledgeable and experienced in craft inspections and accomplishment of maintenance, modifications, and repair of deck equipment.

  • Must be knowledgeable and experienced in all Loadmaster duties, LCAC features / configurations, mission cargo preparation, special procedures, cargo serial load planning, and US Coast Guard Navigation Rules of the Road.

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.


Location Requirements:

Must be located within one hour (approximately 60 miles) of Naval Support Activity Panama City (NSA PC).?
