  • Lead for contractor support to a NAVSEA Program Office.
  • Organizes, directs, and manages contract operation support functions, involving multiple, complex, and inter-related project tasks.
  • Manages teams of contract support personnel at multiple locations.
  • Maintains and manages the customer interface at senior levels of the customer organization.
  • Meets with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverables.
  • Ensures conformance with program task schedules and costs.
  • Develops and enforces work standards.
  • Provides quality assurance, communicates goals, objectives, and policies.
  • Provides financial management and project administration.
  • Supervises and directs staff on a daily basis.

Security Clearance Requirement

  • An active SECRET security clearance is required.

Qualification Requirements

  • A minimum of 15 years of demonstrated professional experience in the defense acquisition process, program management, technical, or business management is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of the experience must have been provided in the previous 5 years, in support of
  • DOD program management is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of DOD program management, technical, or business management is required.
  • Demonstrated understanding of DOD program analysis support is required, as is knowledge of DOD systems acquisition in technical and/or programmatic areas.
  • A BA/BS in a related field is required, or 5 of the 15 years of experience must demonstrate in-depth experience and specialized knowledge in the field of amphibious ship and/or system acquisition and/or life cycle management.
  • A Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent, such as DAWIA Level III Certification, is required in the areas of contract management, program, or business management.
  • Demonstrated experience in auxiliary ships, special mission ships, service craft, seaborne targets, and/or small boats and combatant craft for U.S. agencies and allied nations is desired.
  • Demonstrated experience in T-AO/TA-O(X), T-AGS, AGOR, MK VI, RIB, Riverine Assault Boats, Riverine Command Boats, Riverine Patrol Boats, Force Protection Boats, Barrier Tenders, and/or Fleet Harbor Security Boats, and/or FMS is desired.
  • Demonstrated experience in acquisition program management, Budget and Financial Management (BFM), delivery, training, life cycle management, and/or delivery of executive level administrative services is desired.
  • Must possess and exercise diplomatic tact and have the capability and capacity to develop and manage complex business relationships with multiple organizations.
  • Must be proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Office products and tools.
  • Travel (10-20%) may be required.
