Job Description: Serve as a Deck Engineer and a member of the complete LCAC craft crew, working with military and maintenance support contract personnel and assisting the Craft Engineer with at sea troubleshooting and repair of engineering systems. Responsible for assisting the Craft Engineer in daily performance of craft operations and conducting routine maintenance on craft control, propulsion, and lift systems. May act as Port Lookout during underway operations. Support additional internal and external tasking requirements as assigned.
Security Clearance Requirements: An active SECRET security clearance is required.
Must have prior US Navy LCAC Deck Engineer experience, including at sea troubleshooting and repair of engineering systems, assisting in daily performance of craft operations and conducting routine maintenance on craft control, propulsion, and lift systems, as well as acting as Port Lookout during underway operations.
Must be knowledgeable and experienced in all major LCAC craft propulsion and control systems, casualty control procedures, mission preparation checklists, underway lookout procedures, and US Coast Guard Navigation Rules of the Road.
Must have at least 100 hours of LCAC operation, or 50 hours after Advanced LCAC training as Deck Engineer.
Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
Must be located within one hour (approximately 60 miles) of Naval Support Activity Panama City (NSA PC).?
