Business Development Coordinator

Description:

This position is responsible for identifying identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships, and driving VNA’s revenue growth through increased patient census.


Primary Functions:
  1. Works to grow the overall volume of Health Center, services, and programs by further growing the patient base.
  2. Supervises Community liaisons.
  3. Build relationships with community partners aimed at increasing business development collaborations.
  4. Conduct market research as directed to identify emerging trends, competitive strategies, and potential areas for business expansion.
  5. Implements strategies as agreed with VP to further grow services as applicable
  6. Recommends strategies for innovative services and approaches to patient care to improve quality, cost and patient satisfaction
  7. Provides regular reports regarding business development activities.
  8. Represents VNA in the community.
  9. Familiarizes self and complies with all VNA policies and procedures.
  10. Meets standards of behavior expectations.
  11. Follows established guidelines for use and/or disclosure of protected health information.
  12. Other duties as assigned.

Compensation: Salary Range: $80,000 to $90,000, depending on experience.

Incentives: Earn up to $500.00 quarterly based upon meeting productivity goals.

Qualifications
  1. Three or more years of business development experience in health care, health insurance or both.
  2. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, a health field, or healthcare administration required.
  3. Excellent communication, public speaking and presentation skills.
  4. Computer literacy.
  5. A positive disposition, flexibility, Initiative and commitment to the mission of VNA.

Essential Functions/Physical Requirements:
1. Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
2. Ability to drive a car.
3. Ability to deal effectively with high levels of stress.
4. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer.
5. Visual ability to review and work from written and printed materials.
6. Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
