Position Summary: A leadership position focused on providing direct supervision and clinical services to the youth and young adults being served by LYFE utilizing Dialectical Behavior Therapy(DBT) and Wraparound Milwaukee Philosophy and Process.  The supervisor and clinician responsibilities are two equally essential roles.  The supervisor responsibilities include direct supervision of the LYFE staff to ensure comprehensive services are being provided to meet the individualized needs of each person served by LYFE.  The clinical work includes providing direct clinical services to each LYFE individual.

Essential Functions:

Supervision:

• Provide supervision to the LYFE team to ensure services are being coordinated to meet the identified needs of the individuals being served by the LYFE program.
• Interview, hire, evaluate, manage, and train assigned LYFE staff in accordance with Wraparound Milwaukee and WCS Policies and Procedures.
• Monitor and approve all documentation to ensure accuracy and timely completion (i.e. Provider Notes, Plans of Care, Critical Incident Reports, Changes of Placement, etc.)
• Ensure fidelity to the Wraparound Milwaukee Process for LYFE and DBT treatment model.
• Ensure compliance with legal, organizational, and contractual requirements including but not limited to; audits, program evaluations, and policies and procedures.
• Monitor all program outcome measures and ensure that the program meets all required components.
• Establish and maintain strong communication and collaboration with all partners (i.e. Wraparound Milwaukee, Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division, CYFS, DMCPS, Community Providers, etc.)
• Conduct weekly LYFE team meetings and weekly individual supervision with each staff.
• Promote a strength based, person centered, trauma-informed, culturally intelligent, and recovery focused philosophy of serving people with mental health and co-occurring needs.

• Clinical:
• Provide direct clinical services to all individuals being served by the LYFE team. Services are provided in the person’s home or in the community.
• Ensure fidelity to DBT and Wraparound Milwaukee treatment protocols and evidence-based practices.
• Complete suicide risk assessments for assigned youth to monitor risk level throughout programming.
• Enter timely clinical documentation directly into online database.
• Provide and document clinical supervision and support to LYFE staff according to DHS 34 and DHS 36 policies.
• Attend and actively participate in LYFE staffing and clinical consultation with Wraparound Milwaukee staff.
• Facilitate weekly DBT Skills Group for program participants.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Attend and participate in staffing and in-services
• Provide coverage for team as needed.
• Other job-related duties as may be necessary to carry out the responsibilities of the position

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Working knowledge of positive youth/young adult development; patience and understanding of challenging life needs; clinical knowledge related to mental health and co-occurring needs, the ability to interact with youth, young adults, and caregivers in a calm and professional manner; ability to follow oral and written instructions and cues; ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in crisis situations; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to perform basic computer functions; highly developed organizational skills with the ability to multitask; sensitivity towards cultural, ethic and life needs.   

Minimal Qualifications and Salary Schedule:

Master’s Degree and licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.   Two years of experience serving youth or young adults with mental health and co-occurring needs.  One year of supervisory experience is preferred.  Complete 20-40 hours of CCS (DHS 36) training and 40 hours of mandatory training in Wraparound philosophy and policies.  Working knowledge of computer applications preferred (Windows and Microsoft Word).  Ability to display cultural competence by responding respectfully and effectively to people of all cultures, languages, classes, races, ethnic backgrounds, religions and other diversity factors in a manner that recognizes, affirms and values the worth of each individual.  No convictions or license revocations that would fail a caregiver background check; valid driver’s license, automobile and sufficient insurance to meet agency requirements. 

Work Relationship and Scope:

Reports directly to the Assistant Program Director of Wraparound Programs.  Regular communication and collaboration with Wraparound Milwaukee and the Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division is imperative.  Has contact with a wide variety of individuals including youth/young adults and family members, other program staff, including consulting Psychologist/Psychiatrist, and other collateral contacts, neighbors, funders, Milwaukee County Department of Health and Human Services, Children, Youth and Family Services(CYFS), Children’s Court officials, Division of Milwaukee Child Protective Services(DMCPS), inpatient hospitals, MPS staff and administrators, staff of youth serving agencies and the general public.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed primarily in the community, including people’s homes and various community-based locations.  Ability to work in an office setting.  Hours average 40 hours per week.

Physical Demands:

Position is mobile with significant time spent in the community, including transporting youth and young adults, home visits and attending meetings; driving throughout Milwaukee County; must be able to go up and down stairs.
