CLINICIAL SUPERVISOR - BAKARI CENTER
Position Summary: Exciting opportunity to work in a therapeutic milieu environment serving youth at State licensed residential care center serving male youth, ages 13-17. The Clinical Milieu Supervisor is focused on supporting youth and guiding staff in creating a positive, motivating treatment milieu. This role supports supervising staff, promoting the agreements and assumptions of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and fostering staff’s clinical skill development. This role includes providing critical support to staff, helping them navigate the evolving nature of their daily responsibilities while ensuring a collaborative and supportive program culture. This includes teaching and role modeling skills, staff supervision, providing training, and serving as role model for staff.

Meet all the employee requirements including references, criminal background check, and driver’s license check
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Working knowledge of positive child/youth development; patience and understanding of difficult life situations; the ability to interact with youth and/or parents in a calm and professional manner; ability to follow oral and written instructions; ability to respond appropriately in crisis situations; perform basic computer functions; use time efficiently and effectively; ability to multi-task.
Work Relationship and Scope: Reports directly to the Clinical Supervisor and works closely with the Bakari Center Team. Direct interaction with the youth being served by the program and their families, project partners, and Milwaukee County. Personal Attributes:

Working Conditions:
Physical Demands:
Duties require activity such as sitting for extended periods of time and may be several days during the week. Ability to perform computer work. Mobility is required and the use of trained physical interventions (Vistelar P.O.S.C) if there is immediate physical harm posed to youth or staff. Ability to lift 30 pounds. Driving is required.
