Job Summary
The Registered Nurse position provides specialized care for participants in CBMHP with mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and/or behavioral problems. Nurses assess participants, administer medications, and implement therapeutic interventions to promote emotional stability and functional improvement. They also educate participants and their families, and work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care. To be successful in this position requires patience, active time management skills, and the ability to maintain strong boundaries.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Position is based in an office setting with minimal driving in the community for home visits (injections/medical assessments) with participants; must be able to go up and down stairs and lift/carry 20 pounds to potentially assist with participants’ medical or mobility issues; mobility within the office is needed, but some office work while assessing participants and typing on a computer. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed both in a busy treatment environment, and sometimes in the community where participants’ symptomatology may be evident; work is done sitting at a desk or moving around the office; hours average up to 20 hours/week.
