FAMILY SERVICE COORDINATOR

Who You Are
  • You have a passion for making a difference in the lives of the people you work with.
  • You will lead our Family Advocate team and ensure families receive the highest level of support.
  • You’ll oversee family engagement services, coordinate resources, and help create a program where families feel empowered, connected, and valued.
  • You have effective time management skills and can prioritize and handle numerous tasks. You’re a leader with strong problem-solving skills, organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
A Day in the Life
  • You’ll supervise, train and support the team of Family Advocates.
  • You’ll consult with parents to promote family engagement and positive parenting skills.  
  • You will support staff as they coach parents in promoting school readiness skills for children.
  • You’ll supervise staff and volunteers, and provide staff with feedback and support.
  • You’ll track and manage reports, records and documentation.
  • You will ensure compliance with Head Start standards in family and community partnerships.
Qualifications
  • You’ll need, at a minimum, a bachelor’s degree, preferably in human services, social work or related field. 
  • Two years’ prior supervisory experience is preferred.
  • You must have a strong commitment to BI-CAP’s values of collaboration, innovation, and compassion for those we serve.
  • Applicants must pass a DHS Background Study and meet DHS & MN Rule 3 licensing requirements.
Wages

You’ll be eligible for a competitive benefits package and the opportunity to make a difference in the community.

Full-time, 40 hours/week, year-round. $25.65 - $35.91/hr. depending on qualifications. Benefit eligible: medical, dental, vision, life/add/std, retirement plan, holiday pay and paid time off.

Schedule: M-Thurs, 9 hours/day; Friday, 4 hours.
